Deputy General Director for Development Marat Islamov, as part of the delegation of the Russian Ministry of Construction, took part in the eighth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Russia and Tunisia.
On November 27-28, consultations were held in preparation for the meeting of the intergovernmental commission.
The eighth meeting of the Russian-Tunisian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held on November 29, 2024, chaired by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Olegovich Kotyakov. The Chairman of the Tunisian part of the Commission was the Minister of Trade and Export Development of the Tunisian Republic, Mr. Samir Abid.
Also 25 representatives of the Tunisian delegation, including Chargé d’Affaires of the Tunisian Embassy in the Russian Federation, Mr. Bechir Langar, Plenipotentiary Minister and Director for Relations with Central
and Eastern European Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Reem El Memmi Ben Besher and other authorized persons took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, among other things, the parties discussed the development of specialized cooperation in the field of construction: the use of new technologies and materials in construction, digitalization of the construction industry, training of personnel for the construction sector. The possibility of joint implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects was also discussed.
